Pythouse Kitchen Garden
backSet within an 18th-century walled garden, Pythouse Kitchen Garden offers a dining experience where a modern yet timeless menu takes inspiration from the garden’s centuries-old heritage. This unique setting houses both a restaurant and bar, seamlessly blending historical charm with contemporary cuisine.
Everything at Pythouse Kitchen Garden revolves around the garden, teeming with plants, fruit, and vegetables, tended to by head gardener Annie Shutt. From June to November, you can visit and pick your own flowers to bring back to the Durslade Farmhouse kitchen table. The chefs and gardeners have also created a range of seasonal products sold in the on-site shop, including soaps, oils, and sauces. Pythouse is also the home of Sprigster Drinks where you can try fantastic homegrown drinks straight from the garden.
The menu changes daily, reflecting what is gathered from their three-acre garden and produce from local suppliers. The team promises that every meal is balanced, offering meat, fish, and vegetables sourced carefully to provide a nutritious, delicious experience. The focus is on knowing every producer well so that their ethos aligns with Pythouse Kitchen Garden, and they invite every producer to visit to see how the produce is used. This ensures that you know where every part of your dish has come from, including wild and grass-fed animals, and whole vegetables. The menus are designed with recommended daily intakes in mind, allowing you to enjoy delicious dishes knowing they are balanced to promote health and help protect the environment.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome when you visit.
